Manchester United visit Real Sociedad in the first leg of the Europa League round of 16 this evening.
The Red Devils suffered a disappointing penalty shoot-out defeat to Fulham in the FA Cup fifth round last weekend.
Their chances of qualifying for Europe now rely on winning the Europa League, which guarantees a Champions League spot.
United will be without Harry Maguire and Manuel Ugarte due to minor injuries.
Formation: 3-4-2-1
Predicted Line-up:
Andre Onana is expected to continue in goal for the Red Devils. He had a good outing against Fulham with key saves. Hopefully, he can keep a clean sheet at the Reale Arena.
With Maguire sidelined, the manager could opt for Noussair Mazraoui in the back three alongside Matthijs de Ligt and Leny Yoro.
Victor Lindelof has had limited playing time under Ruben Amorim. The Swede could be an option off the bench alongside Ayden Heaven.
Patrick Dorgu received a three-match domestic suspension after he was sent off for violent conduct against Ipswich Town last month.
However, he is available for the European game. The Dane should start at left wing-back this evening with Diogo Dalot on the right.
Amorim has an easy decision to make in midfield with Ugarte sidelined.
Casemiro is expected to partner Bruno Fernandes in the centre of the park. Toby Collyer, who has just returned from injury, could come off the bench to replace Casemiro.
Alejandro Garnacho must be reinstated into the starting XI after a lively performance last weekend. The Argentine missed a couple of big chances but had another good cameo.
Garnacho should accompany Joshua Zirkzee, who has improved his link-up play in recent games. Rasmus Hojlund looks poised to lead the attack despite failing to score in the last 18 outings for United.
Hojlund has five goals from eight Europa League games this season. The club’s faithful will hope he can end his lengthy goal drought against Sociedad.
Christian Eriksen’s creativity could be utilised off the bench if required. Chido Obi deserves his full debut up front but is ineligible to play after United did not include him in the revised A-list squad.
