Bayern Munich forward Mathys Tel is no longer ruling out the possibility of staying at the Bavarian club beyond the close of the transfer window, according to journalist Kerry Hau.
The Frenchman has been in the middle of a tug-of-war between several top European outfits, including Arsenal, Aston Villa, Chelsea, Manchester United and Marseille.
He rejected a move to Tottenham Hotspur earlier today. He is now more open to staying with the Rekordmeister. Clubs will keep trying to convince him to leave the Allianz Arena.
Tel has always been reluctant to leave Germany in search of playing time. He was angling for a six-month loan but recently started considering a permanent exit.
However, it appears he is open to staying with Bayern and will bide his time until his opportunity comes.
Many Bayern fans want to see Tel replace Leroy Sane and Serge Gnabry. The pair have been poor this season, but manager Vincent Kompany is reluctant to give the youngster a run in the first team.
Despite this, one of the many clubs discussing a move could still swoop for him. They are all trying to present the right project for the player to convince him to change his mind.
Chelsea need a winger to replace Mykhailo Mudryk and have been hot on his heels since the opening of the transfer window.
Villa are also there as they seek a replacement for Jhon Duran, who signed for Al-Nassr today.
Arsenal and Man Utd are in the mix as they seek reinforcements before the transfer window closes on Monday. However, they cannot afford to keep waiting around to convince Tel.
