Man City can still have a productive season
Manchester City’s inconsistent form has sparked plenty of debate this season, but they have shown signs of turning things around over the past few weeks.
The 4-2 defeat at Paris Saint-Germain in the Champions League in midweek was a setback, although the Ligue 1 giants deserve credit for their stunning comeback.
Pep Guardiola’s side put that result behind them to beat Chelsea 3-1 yesterday to move back into the top four in the Premier League.
While they have a mountain to climb to overhaul table-topping Liverpool, it would be foolish to write off their chances just yet.
Man City can still reach the knockout stage in the Champions League and have been handed a favourable draw in the FA Cup fourth round.
Winning three trophies may prove to be beyond City, but their rivals would be well-advised not to take them lightly over the next few months.
