Manchester United manager Ruben Amorim has named his starting line-up for today’s Premier League clash against Fulham at Craven Cottage.
The Red Devils registered a dramatic 2-1 win over Rangers in the Europa League in midweek. Captain Bruno Fernandes bagged a late stoppage-time winner.
The club have the opportunity to build momentum by beating the Cottagers on the road. They have won on their last seven visits to Craven Cottage.
Amorim has made five changes from the victory over Rangers on Thursday.
Andre Onana returns in goal ahead of Altay Bayindir.
There is a solitary defensive change, with Leny Yoro making way for Harry Maguire. The Englishman will partner Matthijs de Ligt and Lisandro Martinez.
Noussair Mazraoui comes into the team after missing the Rangers game due to injury. The Moroccan starts at right-wing-back, with Diogo Dalot on the opposite flank.
Manuel Ugarte has been reinstated in midfield. Fernandes will partner him in the centre of the park. Toby Collyer and Christian Eriksen have dropped to the substitutes’ bench.
Alejandro Garnacho had a lively outing in midweek and was unlucky not to score. The Argentine keeps his place and will be accompanied by Diallo in attacking midfield.
There is a straight swap up front, with Rasmus Hojlund getting the nod over Joshua Zirkzee.
United have had an extraordinary league record against the Cottagers, but they face a tough challenge this evening with Fulham in good form on their home patch.
They need to be defensively solid and must capitalise on any clear-cut chances to score. Hojlund could play a huge role up front and needs a goal to boost his morale.
Predicted Man Utd line-up (3-4-2-1) vs Fulham: Onana; De Ligt, Maguire, Martinez; Mazraoui, Ugarte, Fernandes, Dalot; Diallo, Garnacho; Hojlund.
