Clinical pair would be ideal for Man United or Arsenal
Statistics show that Manchester United have the worst finishing record in the Premier League, scoring seven fewer goals than expected.
By contrast, Arsenal have overperformed to the tune of four goals, yet their lack of a clinical finisher is undoubtedly hindering their title hopes.
Based on their stats this season, Bryan Mbeumo (Brentford) and Matheus Cunha (Wolverhampton Wanderers) would be ideal signings for Man United or Arsenal.
Mbeumo has emerged as the Premier League’s most clinical finisher this season, outperforming his expected goals by 5.6.
Cunha is behind second-placed Chris Wood in the same metric, but the Nottingham Forest striker’s age rules him out as a potential transfer target for ‘Big Six’ clubs.
Man United and Arsenal have been linked with a plethora of forwards in recent months, but the stats provide them with a definitive answer who they should pursue.
