Man United star’s agent at Stamford Bridge, Chelsea ‘expected’ to hold more talks

Manchester United have had a quiet winter transfer window, but there could be plenty of activity before the transfer deadline on February 3.

The club obviously want to bolster their squad with new arrivals, but it could coincide with possible exits.

Antony has already been granted a loan move to Real Betis. Marcus Rashford could also leave on a temporary deal in the coming days.

Alejandro Garnacho’s future has also been a topic of speculation. Fabrizio Romano recently confirmed that Chelsea have made direct contact.

The Blues are ‘expected’ to hold more talks over the winger, and the transfer speculation has intensified with the player’s agent spotted at Stamford Bridge.

Garnacho’s representative Carlos Cambeiro and Romano confirmed on social media that he was at Chelsea’s game this evening.

United could be contemplating a surprise Garnacho exit

The Argentine has been a key player for the Red Devils over the last two years, but his future has become uncertain since Ruben Amorim took charge as manager.

With the change to a 3-4-2-1 formation, Garnacho no longer has the luxury of operating from the left wing. He needs to adapt to an attacking midfield role.

Garnacho’s form has been unconvincing under Amorim’s tutelage, and there is no guarantee of a regular starting role with the emergence of Amad Diallo.

United should keep the £42 million-rated star at Old Trafford for the rest of the campaign, but the hierarchy could have different plans in mind.

The club are interested in signing Lecce left wing-back Patrick Dorgu this winter. An outlay on the Dane could depend on a high-profile exit in the near future.
