Liverpool’s excellent unbeaten run in all competitions came to an end on Wednesday, as they lost 1-0 to Tottenham Hotspur in the first leg of their Carabao Cup semi-final.
The defeat is unlikely to dampen their spirits as the Reds are firm favourites to lift the Premier League title this season, having a six-point lead over Arsenal.
However, the contract situations of Mohamed Salah, Virgil van Dijk and Trent Alexander-Arnold are a concern for Liverpool fans.
The club are yet to agree new deals for the talented trio despite their contracts expiring in the summer.
Bild reporter Christian Falk says the Premier League outfit are considering a move for Bayern Munich’s Joshua Kimmich as a potential replacement for Alexander-Arnold.

Liverpool face the risk of losing their talented right-back amid huge interest from Real Madrid.
The Spanish giants have already submitted a £20 million bid to bring him to the Santiago Bernabeu, but the Reds rejected their offer.
They haven’t given up hope that Alexander-Arnold will extend his stay but are also preparing in case they fail to convince him.
Kimmich is a top talent who mainly plays in midfield but can also operate as a right-back.
He has been at Bayern since 2015, winning eight Bundesliga titles and the Champions League.
The Germany international has made 414 appearances in all competitions for the Bavarians, bagging 43 goals and 110 assists.
His current deal with the club expires in June, and Liverpool can negotiate a pre-contract agreement with him.
