West Ham United striker Michail Antonio has been discharged from the hospital and will continue his recovery at home following a serious road traffic accident earlier this month, the Telegraph reports.
The 34-year-old sustained a broken leg during the crash on December 7 in Epping, Essex, and was airlifted to a hospital in central London.
After weeks of treatment, Antonio was allowed to return home shortly after Christmas. The injury is expected to keep Antonio sidelined for the remainder of the season.
His current contract runs out at the end of the season, but the Hammers may consider keeping him on the books beyond this summer.
Antonio has been a key player since joining from Nottingham Forest nearly a decade ago.
His performances have been instrumental in West Ham’s success, including securing a spot in European competitions and winning the Europa Conference League in 2023.
