Arsenal should explore a loan deal for AC Milan winger Samuel Chukwueze at the turn of the year.
The Gunners suffered a huge setback last weekend with Bukayo Saka picking up a hamstring injury.
Manager Mikel Arteta confirmed that he will be out for ‘weeks‘, but the England international could reportedly be sidelined until early March.
Arsenal may not have significant funds to spend this winter. They should consider a loan swoop for Chukwueze with an option to buy.
The Nigeria international had a brilliant final season with Villarreal with 24 goal contributions in 50 games, but he has struggled to replicate his form with Milan.
The 25-year-old has managed just 10 goal involvements in 54 appearances since his move last year.
He has averaged just 43 minutes per game. His fortunes have not improved under manager Paulo Fonseca.
Milan Live claims the attacker is an ‘interesting option’ for Arsenal.
Chukwueze is relatively good with the ball at his feet. He is a strong dribbler with a knack for creating chances when he is on top of his game.
He has also excelled with his off-the-ball work rate and likes to engage and win duels.
Aston Villa are also admirers of Chukwueze due to the presence of former Villarreal manager Unai Emery, and Arsenal need to show ambition to sign the winger.
Milan are aiming to recoup the £23 million they paid for him. Arsenal should have no problem paying the fee if he succeeds during his temporary stint.
The Gunners currently have two Premier League players on loan – Neto and Raheem Sterling – but they are permitted two more temporary deals from foreign clubs.
