Manchester United suffered their seventh defeat of the Premier League season against Bournemouth at Old Trafford on Sunday.
The Red Devils lacked a cutting edge in the final third and paid the price as the Cherries sealed a comfortable 3-0 win.
United have dropped nine points behind the top four, and they face an uphill battle to qualify for the Champions League.
Marcus Rashford was left out of the matchday squad for the third game running, and he will likely leave the club next month.
A permanent big money transfer will be difficult, but there is a possibility that United could negotiate a straight exchange deal.
Paris Saint-Germain’s Randal Kolo Muani has been out of favour under manager Luis Enrique this term.
He is almost ‘guaranteed’ to leave this winter, as per Fabrizio Romano. United should negotiate a swap deal with Rashford.
Kolo Muani would suit Ruben Amorim’s formation at United
The 26-year-old was one of the most sought-after strikers in Europe during his time at Eintracht Frankfurt.
He registered 23 goals and 17 assists in his final campaign before moving to Paris last year.
Muani has bagged 11 goals and seven assists from 54 games for Les Parisiens. He has averaged just 44 minutes per appearance.
Enrique clearly does not fancy him. Muani has had better success with France, with four goal contributions in his last five appearances.
The former Nantes striker would be a good fit under manager Ruben Amorim in his 3-4-2-1 set-up.
Muani has played majorly as a striker in his career, but he is a modern forward who likes to high press opponents and has a tireless work rate.
The Frenchman likes to drop into deeper attacking positions to link up play. He would be a perfect acquisition for United at the turn of the year.
PSG have previously held an interest in Rashford and United should propose a swap deal with Muani heading to Old Trafford this winter.
If Les Parisiens resist the offer, United should consider a loan deal for the ‘explosive‘ striker with an option to purchase at the end of the season.
Muani was signed by PSG for £76 million from Eintracht in 2023, but the club may have to cut their losses on him for a sale.
