Rangers welcome Dundee to Ibrox in the Scottish Premiership on Saturday.
They will be eager to shake off the disappointment of their Scottish League Cup final loss against Celtic last weekend. Rangers took the game to extra time, but lost 5-4 on penalties.
Rangers have made huge improvements in recent weeks, and there is enough evidence to suggest that the team is finally responding to Philippe Clement’s style of play.
It is futile to talk about closing the gap with Celtic, as they are still way behind. Rangers can only look to win every game and gradually crawl back into the title race.
Clement has confirmed that there are no fresh injury worries from the previous game, but he could still make a few changes to the starting line-up.
Rangers predicted XI vs Dundee
Jack Butland will continue in goal and will expect to keep a clean sheet once again. He kept clean sheets in his previous three Scottish Premiership games.
With John Souttar out injured, Rangers could look to sign a new defender in January.
The defensive partnership of Robin Propper and Dujon Sterling looked very solid at the back against Celtic.
While Leon Balogun remains a major option for Clement, the senior defender could be dropped at Ibrox for the weekend clash.
Jefte struggled in the last game. The young defender could be rested, with Ridvan Yilmaz getting the nod ahead of him.
James Tavernier was drifting into obscurity a few weeks ago. However, he has regained his old form and is undroppable at the moment.
Nico Raskin and Mohamed Diomande were immense in the cup final, and they should continue in midfield.
Ianis Hagi, Vaclav Cerny and Hamza Igamane were excellent in the previous game, and they must retain their places.
Danilo scored the important equaliser when he came on in the last game, and he should replace Nedim Bajrami in the starting line-up on Saturday.
Bajrami works his socks off, but Danilo can provide an extra bit of quality.
Predicted Rangers starting XI v Dundee: Butland, Tavernier, Propper, Sterling, Yilmaz, Diomande, Raskin, Hagi, Cerny, Igamane, Danilo.
