‘I believe’: Micah Richards tells Tottenham whether they should sack Ange Postecoglou

Pundit Micah Richards has given his verdict on whether Tottenham Hotspur chairman Daniel Levy should get rid of Ange Postecoglou after their latest defeat.

Tottenham suffered a 4-3 defeat against Chelsea at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium in the Premier League on Sunday.

Spurs were 2-0 up after only 11 minutes, but they eventually lost the match 4-3. It was the 11th time that Tottenham lost a Premier League game after having a lead of two or more goals.

They are seven points behind fourth-placed Manchester City. With Nottingham Forest and Aston Villa doing well, Spurs are in real danger of missing out on a Champions League spot.

Micah Richards wants Tottenham to keep Postecoglou

Former Manchester City defender Micah Richards believes Tottenham should stick with Postecoglou, but he needs to adjust the way he plays.

Richards told the Rest is Football podcast: “I believe he can get it right. I don’t think they should be looking at a new manager.

“I think he has just got to now adjust certain things of how he wants to play because certain parts of what they are doing is good.”

Tottenham’s plan regarding Postecoglou

While certain sections of the Tottenham fanbase are frustrated with Postecoglou, the message coming from the club is that they will not sack him.

The Telegraph claims Tottenham are not going to ‘hit the panic button’ and will back Postecoglou.

However, Tottenham have a tough run coming up, starting with a fixture against Rangers in the Europa League on Thursday evening,

Spurs take on Southampton, Manchester United and Liverpool in the Premier League before Christmas and lock horns with Forest on Boxing Day.
