Liverpool handed huge boost as big Real Madrid star ruled out of Champions League clash after fresh injury blow

Liverpool have received a boost ahead of their Champions League game against Real Madrid on Wednesday.

Brazilian forward Vinicius Junior is out of the match after suffering an injury to the biceps femoris in his left leg, according to Deportes Cope journalist Arancha Rodriguez.

The Spanish club are already without centre-back Eder Militao after he was ruled out of the campaign after an injury, and they have been further significantly weakened ahead of their trip to Anfield.

Being without Vinicius Jr against Liverpool is a huge blow for manager Carlo Ancelotti, and the Reds have a chance to stroll to victory.

Liverpool are top of the Champions League table after winning all four of their opening games of the opening phase.

Victory against the reigning champions will be a massive boost ahead of their Premier League game against Manchester City on Sunday.

Vinicius has bagged 12 goals and five assists in 17 appearances this term, and he has been on a mission to prove himself all over again after missing out on the Ballon d’Or to Rodri.

Liverpool will still be facing a strong Madrid side as Kylian Mbappe, Jude Bellingham and Arda Guler are available. They were on top of their game to help the La Liga club stroll to a 3-0 win over Leganes yesterday.

However, losses to Lille, Barcelona and AC Milan have exposed their weaknesses, and manager Arne Slot will be looking forward to exploiting them on Wednesday.

The Reds are in fine form ahead of the game, having lost just once and drawn once in 18 games across all competitions this season.

They will fancy their chances of picking up another crucial three points against the visitors.
