Arsenal player spotted in Monday training after injury kept him out of Nottingham Forest game

Arsenal midfielder Myles Lewis-Skelly has returned to training today after missing the 3-0 victory over Nottingham Forest on Saturday, according to former Sky Sports producer Connor Humm.

Only Benjamin White and Takehiro Tomiyasu remain on the injury sidelines, and Gunners manager Mikel Arteta will be hoping for some good news ahead of the busy festive period.

Arsenal have very little time to rest in between games until the next international break in March 2025, and having Lewis-Skelly back in training is a welcome boost.

The 18-year-old has made all his six appearances off the bench this term, featuring at left-back, and his versatility will come in handy going forward with two key defenders out.

The Gunners are back in action tomorrow when they visit Portuguese top-flight club Sporting CP in the Champions League, with a trip to face West Ham United on Saturday next on the agenda.

Arsenal have seven games across three competitions in December and another seven in January, and they need all their players available to give them much-needed squad depth.

Lewis-Skelly and a couple of other teenagers are expected to get playing opportunities, given the need for some of the first-team stars to rest, and they will be desperate to grab the chances.

Arsenal remain in the race for the Premier League title and are also challenging strongly across other competitions, but may add a few players to their squad when the transfer window reopens in January.
