Liverpool ace ‘has no interest in sitting on the bench’, could join Chelsea in £35m deal

 

Liverpool have had an excellent start to the season under Arne Slot. 

The Reds are five points clear at the top of the Premier League after winning nine of their 11 matches.

The Merseyside giants have also maintained a perfect record in the Champions League, sitting at the summit with 12 points. 

Caoimhin Kelleher deserves plenty of credit for Liverpool’s recent successes as he has been brilliant between the sticks since replacing the injured Alisson Becker. 

The 25-year-old has featured in eight matches across all competitions this season, with four clean sheets to his name. 

However, according to the Sun, Kelleher is set to leave Anfield next summer when the club welcome new goalkeeper Giorgi Mamardashvili. 

Chelsea are reportedly planning a summer move for the Republic of Ireland international despite already having ten goalkeepers on their books. 

Slot has made it clear that Alisson will always be his first-choice keeper, and Kelleher will fall down to third in the pecking order when Mamardashvili arrives.

The young shot-stopper has reportedly no interest in sitting on the bench in the future, and he could end up leaving the club next summer. 

Liverpool are reluctant to sell such a good player to a potential title rival, but a £35 million offer could convince them to part with him.
