Premier League giants Liverpool are interested in signing AC Milan playmaker Christian Pulisic, according to Calciomercato.
The Reds are keen on adding offensive reinforcements, with Mohamed Salah preparing to leave the club on a free transfer this summer.
They have identified the United States captain as a potential signing to bolster their forward options.
Pulisic has been in terrific form for the Rossoneri this season, registering seven goals and five assists in 15 appearances.
Since leaving Stamford Bridge for Italy, Pulisic has regained his best form and the injuries that threatened to decimate his career have eased up.
He recorded 15 goals and 11 assists in 50 appearances across all competitions last term and is the main man for the US with 31 goals in 75 appearances.
Pulisic was linked with Liverpool while playing for Borussia Dortmund, but Chelsea signed him for €60 million. The Reds faithful will be interested in this transfer as his journey is similar to Salah’s.
Like Salah, he shone domestically and in European competitions. Chelsea took the punt, but it did not work out. He went to Italy to revive his career.
The 26-year-old is now in the prime of his career and can replace Salah this summer, but he will not come cheap. Milan are reportedly targeting a fee of over €60m.
While Liverpool are shopping in Milan, they must find a way to return with one of the left-backs ruling the Italian top flight to provide competition for the struggling Andy Robertson.
AC Milan and France international star Theo Hernandez is one of the best operators in the world. He is defensively sound, rapid and has a vicious shot.
Meanwhile, Inter Milan’s Federico Dimarco has a passing range similar to Trent Alexander-Arnold’s.
He is a buccaneering force down the left flank, but it will be difficult to convince him away from his boyhood club.
