Rangers player head and shoulders above the rest against Hearts

Rangers picked up a crucial 1-0 win against Hearts at Ibrox in the Scottish Premiership on Sunday.

The Gers needed to bounce back in the league after they lost 2-1 against Aberdeen in their previous game.

Rangers picked up some confidence ahead of this game after securing a 1-1 draw in midweek against Olympiakos in the Europa League.

Cyriel Dessers was on target in the sixth minute to put the home side in front, but Rangers were pretty ordinary apart from that.

James Tavernier, who provided the assist for the goal, lost possession 15 times during the game, and the Daily Record rightly gave him a 5/10 rating.

Nicolas Raskin was brilliant once again, while centre-back John Souttar was outstanding.

The Gers defender shines yet again

The 28-year-old produced a decent performance at the back against the Greek side on Thursday, and he was solid against Hearts at Ibrox on Sunday.

He struggled with injuries when he first arrived, but now the defender is a key asset for the club.

The defender is one of the first names on the team sheet, and he is repaying his manager’s faith with consistent performances.

He made two tackles and 11 clearances and only lost possession nine times against Hearts.

The Scottish defender won six out of eight duels and managed 91 percent passing accuracy. He had 100 touches and attempted 13 long balls.

The Daily Record gave him a 7/10 rating, but he probably deserved a higher mark.
