Calafiori was one of Arsenal’s best players at Man City

Arsenal continued their unbeaten start to the Premier League season with a 2-2 draw against Manchester City at the Etihad Stadium on Sunday.

The Gunners made a slow start to the game. Erling Braut Haaland bagged his 100th goal for the Cityzens from a clever through ball from Savinho.

The London giants levelled the scores in the 22nd minute from a Riccardo Calafiori wonder strike.

Gabriel Magalhaes scored for the second consecutive game from a corner to put the Gunners ahead during first-half stoppage time.

Leandro Trossard’s sending-off before the break changed the dynamics, but Arsenal managed to hold on for a point in the end.

Calafiori had a fantastic full league debut for the Gunners.

He was outsmarted by Savinho in the lead-up to the Haaland goal but made amends with one of the goals of the campaign.

Despite the immense pressure after the break, Calafiori maintained a passing accuracy of 94 percent and made three tackles (100% accuracy).

He also won four ground and aerial duels and made four clearances.

Calafiori announced his arrival in the Premier League with a fabulous showing, and he will hopefully be fit for the next league game. He was substituted in the 74th minute with cramp.

David Raya earned the plaudits yesterday for his superb shot-stopping, while Gabriel grabbed the headlines with another goal.

However, Calafiori was equally as good, and Arsenal fans will be hoping that he can continue in the same vein as the season progresses.
