Arsenal boost as Tottenham could be without three key players this weekend

Arsenal have injury worries ahead of the visit to Tottenham Hotspur on Sunday, but they have been handed a boost as Spurs could also be without three key stars for the game.

Dominic Solanke, Richarlison and Micky van de Ven are likely to miss the game having not returned to full fitness yet, according to football.london.

Arsenal will be without captain Martin Odegaard for the match after he was pictured on crutches on his way back to London this morning.

Italy international defender Riccardo Calafiori is doubtful for the game after he limped off against France on Saturday.

Declan Rice and Mikel Merino are out of contention due to suspension and injury, respectively.

However, Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta will be able to shuffle his pack, with Thomas Partey, Jorginho, Kai Havertz, Ethan Nwaneri, Oleksandr Zinchenko and Raheem Sterling all available midfield options.

He will fancy their chances of leaving the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium with all three points while Spurs continue to sweat on the fitness of Solanke, Richarlison and Van de Ven.

The Brazilian forward came off the bench against Leicester City and Everton but was ruled out of their last game – against Newcastle United.

Solanke missed their last two games after he picked up an ankle injury against the Foxes, while the Dutch defender picked up a knee injury against the Toffees.

He was excluded from the Netherlands squad for their games this month.

Arsenal are looking at returning to winning ways after their 1-1 draw against Brighton & Hove Albion before the international break, and securing victory over Spurs would be a huge boost.
