Chelsea have made an official bid to sign Manchester United winger Jadon Sancho before the transfer deadline tonight, according to journalist Fabrizio Romano.
The Blues have identified the England international as a late target to bolster their wide attacking options, and they have now made a formal offer.
The Blues have submitted an initial loan proposal for the versatile forward, which is similar to the one made by Juventus.

Sancho fell out with manager Erik ten Hag at the beginning of last season. He was subsequently suspended before leaving on loan to Borussia Dortmund in January.
The attacker managed to impress during his short stint in Germany. He was reintegrated into United’s training during pre-season after patching things up with Ten Hag.
Despite this, it is no surprise that he is eyeing a new challenge. Sancho was only a late substitute in the Community Shield against Manchester City. He missed a penalty in the shoot-out.
The 24-year-old has since failed to make the matchday squad for the first two league games. Sancho may feel he has better chances of playing time with a move to London.
Ten Hag said in today’s press conference that he expects Sancho to stay. The final decision could rest on the winger if he clubs reach an agreement over a loan with a buy option.
