Manchester United have reached an agreement with Juventus for the transfer of Jadon Sancho, according to RMC Sport journalist Fabrice Hawkins.
The England international was a regular part of pre-season for the Red Devils and came on as a substitute in the Community Shield loss to Manchester City.
However, he was left out of the matchday squads for the first two Premier League games of the season against Fulham and Brighton & Hove Albion.
United had reportedly opened talks with Chelsea regarding a swap deal involving Sancho and Raheem Sterling.
However, United have reportedly reached an agreement with the Bianconeri to part ways with Sancho.
The Turin giants have agreed to sign the Englishman on loan with an obligation to buy. Sancho is keen on joining Juventus before the deadline.
United set to offload Sancho permanently
The attacker signed for United from Borussia Dortmund with plenty of hype in 2021, but he has failed to live up to expectations.
Sancho had a massive public fall-out with manager Erik ten Hag in September last year after he was dropped for the Arsenal game due to his poor intensity in training.
He was subsequently suspended and loaned out to Dortmund in January. Sancho and Ten Hag sorted out their differences in pre-season, but the club have made the right choice to offload him.
The Manchester City graduate has fallen down the pecking order at United and it does not make sense to keep a player who will struggle for regular playing time.
An unhappy player could disrupt the harmony around the squad. The right decision has been made to send him to Juventus instead of swapping with a direct league rival.
The Bianconeri were initially reluctant to include an obligation to buy, but they have finally accepted the Red Devils’ demands. Sancho is set to travel to Turin for his medical.
He will become the second high-profile player to leave Old Trafford this month. Scott McTominay is on the verge of joining Napoli on a permanent transfer for £25 million.
