Man Utd reject Napoli’s loan offer for McTominay

Manchester United have reportedly rejected a loan offer from Napoli for Scott McTominay.

The 27-year-old faces an uncertain future at Old Trafford, with the Red Devils prepared to sell him for the right price.

His future in Manchester was also the subject of debate last summer but he ended up playing a hugely important role for Erik ten Hag’s side.

The Scotland international featured in 43 appearances across all competitions last season, bagging 10 goals and three assists.

However, United are looking to raise funds for new recruits and they are ready to sell McTominay in this transfer window.

According to journalist Gianluca Di Marzio, Napoli made a loan approach for the midfielder but United were not interested in the move.

Fulham also tried to seal a transfer but ended their pursuit after their improved £20 million bid was rejected.

The Red Devils are demanding around £30m for McTominay, who has entered the final year of his contract. The club also have the option of extending it by another 12 months.

United have recently confirmed the arrivals of Bayern Munich duo Matthijs de Ligt and Noussair Mazraoui.

They are also looking to sign Paris Saint-Germain midfielder Manuel Ugarte but are unwilling to meet their £51m asking price.

Ugarte has already agreed personal terms with the Premier League giants, and his agent Jorge Mendes is currently in England to discuss the move to Man Utd
