Man Utd want to get rid of Antony & sign Raphinha, Barcelona will sell for over €60m

Manchester United want to get rid of Antony and sign Barcelona forward Raphinha to replace him, according to Spanish outlet Sport.

The 24-year-old has struggled to make an impact since joining the Red Devils from Ajax two years ago, bagging just 11 goals and five assists in 82 appearances.

United are close to selling him and are also open to letting Jadon Sancho leave permanently.

They have moved in recent days to ask about Raphinha and will be facing some hurdles in their bid to land the versatile forward.

The 27-year-old is not keen on leaving Barca this summer and has rejected juicy offers from Saudi Pro League clubs. The chance to join the Red Devils may not appeal to him either.

The La Liga club are desperate to make money this summer to balance the books and register some of their new signings with the Spanish top-flight authority.

They are ready to cash in on the former Leeds United star if Man United offer them more than €60 million.

The ‘special attacker ended his time in the Premier League with Leeds with 17 goals and 12 assists in 65 games, and he has bagged 20 goals and 25 assists in 87 games since joining Barca.

Having such a quality forward capable of playing on both wings and as a striker would be huge for Man United.

However, their chances of luring him away from the Camp Nou club are as slim as they come, and their failure to qualify for the Champions League has not helped matters.

The Red Devils have signed Dutch striker Joshua Zirkzee and French centre-back Leny Yoro this summer and are closing in on deals for Bayern Munich defensive duo Matthijs de Ligt and Noussair Mazraoui.

Manager Erik ten Hag needs a quality winger, but it does not appear he wants to further strengthen his attack as reinforcing the midfield is next on his plans.
