Bournemouth want to sign Arsenal star after selling Solanke to Spurs

Bournemouth are eyeing a summer move for Arsenal striker Eddie Nketiah as they look for a replacement for Dominic Solanke, according to Sky Sports reporter Mark McAdam.

The Cherries sold the one-cap England international to Tottenham Hotspur in a £65 million deal and are now looking to move for Nketiah.

They are yet to table a bid for the Arsenal star, and getting him could prove tricky as he is not short of suitors.

Arsenal are willing to sell the 25-year-old, but suitors must make a suitable offer.

He is behind Kai Havertz and Gabriel Jesus in the pecking order and would struggle for playing chances if he does not leave.

Bournemouth have cash to spend after Spurs parted with an initial £55m for Solanke, with the remaining £10m to come in add-ons, and they could be willing to meet the Gunners’s demands.

Selling Nketiah will help Arsenal with funds as they look to make further recruitment this summer.

The club have only added Italy international defender Riccardo Calafiori to their squad having already completed a permanent move for Spain international goalkeeper David Raya.

They are in talks with Real Sociedad to sign midfielder Mikel Merino, but getting a deal done has proven difficult,

Arsenal could do with a top striker this season, but signing one could be contingent on Nketiah departing.
