Tottenham step up Dominic Solanke pursuit

Tottenham Hotspur are stepping up their pursuit of Bournemouth forward Dominic Solanke, according to the Telegraph.

Spurs are looking to bolster their attacking options ahead of the new season, and Solanke has emerged as a concrete target over the past week.

The 26-year-old is now a key target for manager Ange Postecoglou, who is keen to add a proven goalscorer to his squad.

Solanke enjoyed a prolific campaign for the Cherries last season, netting 21 times in all competitions.

Bournemouth have slapped a hefty £65 million price tag on their star man, which has deterred potential suitors.

Spurs are exploring ways to structure a deal that could tempt Bournemouth into lowering their demands, potentially offering favourable payment terms.

They are keen to provide Postecoglou with the firepower needed to challenge for a top-four finish.

With Heung-min Son primarily deployed through the middle most of last season, Tottenham are eager to shift the South Korean back to his favoured left-wing position.

Adding a pure number nine would allow Son to take the starting berth on the left, where he is arguably more dangerous.
