Rangers have announced Philippe Clement has penned a new long-term contract that will keep him at the club until 2028.
The Belgian boss replaced Michael Beale in the hot seat last October and led Rangers to success in the Scottish League Cup.
The 50-year-old’s previous deal was set to expire in 2027 but the Gers wanted to reward him with an improved contract.
Clement said: “I have a really open and transparent relationship with the board.
“In every meeting that we have had, you feel the passion and desire to make the club better and that is the same for me.
“I have fallen in love with the club, with the fans, the stadium and with the city.
“I see huge potential and now we need to make the club better and stronger in every department – that is our goal, and we are all really aligned about that.”
Rangers lifted the League Cup after beating Aberdeen in the final last term.
But they also lost twice to Celtic in the league to miss out on the Scottish Premiership title. The Bhoys also outclassed their arch-rivals in the Scottish Cup final.
Rangers failed to qualify for the Champions League group stage but performed relatively well in the Europa League before losing 3-2 on aggregate to Benfica in the last-16.
Clement has been trying to rebuild the squad this summer as he aims to end Celtic’s dominance in the Premiership.
Conor Goldson, Ryan Jack, John Lundstram, Borna Barisic and Kemar Roofe have all left, while Clement has added Mohamed Diomande, Hamza Igamane and Jefte to the squad.
The Gers could make more signings before the 2024 transfer window closes on August 30.
