West Ham sign Leeds United’s Crysencio Summerville in £25m Deal

West Ham United will sign Leeds United forward Crysencio Summerville in a deal worth around £25 million.

According to journalist Fabrizio Romano, his medical has been booked for today. He is expected to sign a five-year deal at the London Stadium.

West Ham have been working hard to sign reinforcements this summer, and Summerville is their latest coup.

The 22-year-old was in demand after a stunning 2023/24 campaign in which he was named Championship Player of the Year.

Despite Leeds’ failure to secure Premier League promotion, Summerville had a standout season, notching 21 goals and ten assists in 49 appearances.

His showings drew attention from Chelsea, Liverpool and Paris Saint-Germain.

However, he has opted to join the Hammers, further bolstering an attack that also boasts Mohammed Kudus, Lucas Paqueta, Jarrod Bowen, Luis Guilherme and Michail Antonio.

The Leeds star becomes West Ham’s fourth summer signing after Max Kilman, Wes Foderingham and Guilherme.

West Ham have also opened talks with Borussia Dortmund for German international striker Niclas Fullkrug.

Following Serhou Guirassy’s arrival, he has fallen down the pecking order. Fullkrug wants consistent game time and could find it under Julen Lopetegui.

West Ham were working on a deal to sign Jhon Duran from Aston Villa, but the interest in the Colombian centre-forward has cooled off.
