Huge blow for Real Madrid as Trent Alexander-Arnold decides to stay at Liverpool

There has been plenty of speculation regarding Trent Alexander-Arnold’s future at Liverpool this summer.

The 25-year-old will be out of contract in June next year and many people thought he could leave the club after Jurgen Klopp’s departure.

Real Madrid have been credited with an interest in Alexander-Arnold. However, he has decided to stay at Liverpool, according to the Sun

He has spoken with new manager Arne Slot and is excited about the new era. The club will offer him a new contract to keep him out of the clutches of the La Liga giants.

Alexander-Arnold has been a loyal servant of the Merseyside club since making his first-team debut in 2016.

He has made over 300 senior appearances and helped the club win several trophies.

Alexander-Arnold made 37 appearances across all competitions last season.

His performances earned him a spot in the England squad for the 2024 European Championship in Germany.

Alexander-Arnold started the group matches against Serbia and Denmark but was dropped in favour of Kobbie Mainoo for the knockout games.
