Pochettino emerges as a top candidate to replace Ten Hag at Man Utd

Manchester United are reportedly considering Mauricio Pochettino to replace Erik ten Hag as manager.

The Argentine recently left his role at Chelsea by mutual consent after just one season at the club.

He was expected to remain at Stamford Bridge after guiding his side to five successive wins to end the season on a high note.

However, the 52-year-old left Chelsea after an internal review conducted by co-sporting directors Paul Winstanley and Laurence Stewart.

He is reportedly in the frame to become Man United’s new manager (the Sun). Co-owner Sir Jim Ratcliffe could be prepared to hold discussions with Pochettino.

Ten Hag has been under pressure at Old Trafford after an underwhelming season.

The Dutchman could be dismissed after the FA Cup final with Manchester City on Saturday.

Gareth Southgate, Thomas Tuchel, Graham Potter and Kieran McKenna are among the favourites to replace Ten Hag.

Pochettino is also in the running two years after missing out on the job.
