Arsenal star already in contact with club president over transfer

Arsenal midfielder Thomas Partey has already contacted Fenerbahce president Ali Koc about a summer transfer, according to Fotospor.

The Ghana international had another injury-plagued campaign with the Gunners, featuring for just 882 minutes across all competitions.

With his contract expiring in June 2025, there is already speculation over his future and he could move to Fenerbahce.

Koc has already met the 30-year-old, but he has asked the midfielder to wait for a formal bid.

He is awaiting the presidential election results next month. If he continues in the role, a transfer proposal to Arsenal could be made.

Arsenal should part ways with Partey this summer

Partey started the final five games of the Premier League season, but the Gunners should still consider his exit due to his worrying injury record.

The midfielder has missed more than 70 games for the club since he arrived from Atletico Madrid in 2020 and is no longer a reliable option.

He is currently one of the highest earners at £200,000 per week. Arsenal should get him off their wage bill and sign a fit and younger defensive midfielder.

Real Sociedad’s Martin Zubimendi has been linked with the club for some time, but the Spaniard is unwilling to consider a new challenge.

Newcastle United’s Bruno Guimaraes could be an ideal option. The Brazilian has tremendous fitness levels and has already adapted to the league.

Guimaraes has a release clause worth £100 million in his contract. Arsenal could persuade them to accept less with Newcastle in a tight financial situation.
