Manchester United will be aiming to end their Premier League season on a high with a victory at Brighton & Hove Albion today.
The Red Devils secured a 3-2 win over Newcastle United at Old Trafford on Wednesday, but they are still trailing the Magpies for seventh position due to their poor goal difference.
United’s chances of qualifying for the Europa Conference League through their league position will depend on them winning at Brighton and the Magpies dropping points at Brentford.
Formation: 4-2-3-1
Predicted Line-up:
Andre Onana has played every minute of the top-flight campaign and is expected to continue between the sticks ahead of Altay Bayindir. The Cameroonian star will be eyeing a clean sheet ahead of the FA Cup final next weekend.
There could be a solitary change in defence from the victory over the Magpies. Casemiro had a relatively good outing alongside Jonny Evans in central defence, but he should make way for Lisandro Martinez. The Argentine is in line for his first start since his injury return.
Raphael Varane and Victor Lindelof were back in team training after respective injuries, but the duo could be introduced off the bench if required.
Aaron Wan-Bissaka and Diogo Dalot are pretty much nailed-on starters from the full-back positions for United.
Sofyan Amrabat has impressed a section of the fans with his solid performances against Arsenal and Newcastle and should get the nod over Casemiro in the number-six role. Kobbie Mainoo looks set to continue from the central midfield position alongside him.
Amad Diallo is likely to feature on the right wing ahead of Antony based on recent form. He scored a brilliant goal from the edge of the box against the Magpies. Alejandro Garnacho deserves a breather, having started consistently this year.
Marcus Rashford could make his first start since the FA Cup semi-final on the left wing. Bruno Fernandes is an assured starter from the number 10 position.
Rasmus Hojlund should lead the line after scoring off the bench against the Magpies on Wednesday night.
