Man Utd managerial target is leaning towards staying at his current club

Thomas Tuchel has emerged as one of the leading candidates to replace under-fire manager Erik ten Hag at Manchester United.

The 50-year-old has managed some of the biggest clubs in the world and won the 2021 Champions League with Chelsea

But he has failed to make a big impact at Bayern Munich since taking over as manager last year.

Tuchel’s team lost the Bundesliga title to Bayer Leverkusen and crashed out of the Champions League at the semi-final stage against Real Madrid.

The German boss has already announced his decision to step down from his role at the end of the season.

But Suddeutsche Zeitung suggests Tuchel is leaning towards staying at the Allianz Arena for another year.

Several senior Bayern players want Tuchel to continue with the club.

United should stick with Ten Hag

Man United have been enduring a dismal run of form, with Crystal Palace and Arsenal taking full points off them in their last two games.

With two matches remaining in the league season, they are eighth in the standings and likely to miss out on any form of European football.

Despite the recent results, United should stick with Ten Hag. The Dutchman is a top coach, but injuries have hit his squad hard this season.

Given more time, he can turn around the club’s fortunes.
