Arsenal handed title boost as Man City dealt fresh huge injury blows ahead of Sunday

Arsenal head into the last day of the Premier League season in second place in the table, two points behind Manchester City.

Pep Guardiola’s side secured a 2-0 victory at Tottenham Hotspur last night to put themselves in pole position to win the title.

However, the Gunners can still win their first league crown since 2004 if they beat Everton and Man City drop points against West Ham United on Sunday.

Arsenal have been handed a potential boost as Guardiola confirmed last night that goalkeeper Ederson and midfielder Kevin De Bruyne picked up knocks against Spurs.

They could now be without two of their key players for the must-win Premier League fixture on the final day of the season, which could favour the Gunners.

De Bruyne was withdrawn after a bad challenge. He has an ankle problem. A collision with Cristian Romero left Ederson with a swollen eye.

While replacement Stefan Ortega made crucial saves to deny Spurs an equaliser, Guardiola would prefer to have Ederson in goal against the Hammers.

De Bruyne provided his tenth league assist of the campaign last night, and being without him would be a massive blow for Man City.

It is a potential boost for Arsenal who are feeling desperate heading into Sunday. They will fancy their chances against an Everton side with nothing else to play for this season.

However, they need a massive favour from West Ham.
