Bayern Munich set to raid Premier League again for £60m-rated midfielder

Bayern Munich are reportedly eyeing a big move for Crystal Palace star Adam Wharton.

The 20-year-old joined Palace in the January transfer window for £18 million after impressing with his performances for Blackburn Rovers.

He has hit the ground running at Selhurst Park, sparking talk he could force his way into the England squad for the European Championship.

The central midfielder has been averaging 3.1 tackles, 1.3 interceptions and 4.9 ball recoveries per game in the Premier League.

Wharton has caught the attention of Bayern who are planning to sign him this summer, per the Sun

The Bavarians spent a record transfer fee to seal a move for Harry Kane last summer.

The 30-year-old has been excellent, but the club have endured a disappointing season.

They missed out on the Bundesliga title to Bayer Leverkusen and recently suffered Champions League elimination against Real Madrid.

The German giants will be looking to reinforce their midfield this summer and Wharton is in their sights.

However, he has a contract until 2029 and is expected to cost £60m.
