Chelsea and Milan linked manager has grown unsettled at his club and wants a new challenge

Roberto De Zerbi has reportedly grown unsettled at Brighton & Hove Albion and wants a new challenge.

The 44-year-old joined the Seagulls in 2022 and led them to an excellent sixth-place finish in the Premier League.

However, they have suffered a dip this season and are currently in the bottom half of the standings.

According to The Guardian, De Zerbi has grown unsettled at Brighton and is seeking a new challenge amid links to Chelsea and AC Milan

Brighton are making contingency plans as they prepare for the possibility of needing to appoint a new manager.

They will reportedly target Ipswich Town manager Kieran McKenna if De Zerbi leaves this summer.

McKenna has done an impressive job at Ipswich who are now just a point away from securing automatic promotion to the Premier League.

Chelsea have been linked with a move for De Zerbi as they look for a replacement for Mauricio Pochettino.

The Argentine boss arrived at Stamford Bridge last summer but has failed to revive the club’s fortunes.

The Blues are languishing in ninth in the league standings with 48 points with five games remaining.

Milan have also had an underwhelming season under Stefano Pioli and could be in the market for a new manager this summer.
