Arteta, Dyche and Guardiola nominated for Premier League Manager of the Month award

Mikel Arteta (Arsenal), Sean Dyche (Everton), and Pep Guardiola (Manchester City) have been nominated for the April 2024 Premier League Manager of the Month award.

Arteta guided the Gunners to five wins from six games as they continued their stay at the top of the league table despite giving City a route to overtake.

Arsenal claimed comfortable wins over Luton Town and Brighton & Hove Albion to start the month but stuttered against Aston Villa at the Emirates Stadium, and City can climb above them if they win their game in hand.

However, Arsenal bounced back from the Villa setback with a 2-0 win over Wolverhampton Wanderers.

They closed the month with two exhilarating wins over London rivals. Arsenal thumped Chelsea 5-0 before claiming a hard-fought 3-2 victory over Tottenham Hotspur to maintain their grip at the summit.

Arteta is the youngest manager in Premier League history to reach 100 victories. He already has seven MOTM awards on his CV.

Everton have secured another season in the top flight after claiming four wins from six games in April under Dyche.

They drew Newcastle United and suffered a 6-0 loss to Chelsea. However, Everton claimed impressive wins over Brentford, Nottingham Forest, Burnley and Liverpool to stay up.

Dyche’s men continue to fight for the badge amidst potential insolvency, with their 777 Partners takeover deal on the brink of collapse.

Guardiola’s City are famed for their ruthless end-of-the-season runs, and they are at it again. They’ve been obliterating every opponent on their way to a fourth successive title.

City thumped Aston Villa 4-1 at the Etihad Stadium before claiming a 4-2 win over a resurgent Crystal Palace. They thwarted Luton Town 5-1 and made light work of Brighton & Hove Albion.

Man City rounded off the month with a 2-0 victory over Nottingham Forest and only need four wins from their final four games to claim another title.
