Arsenal will be aiming to return to winning ways when they face Wolverhampton Wanderers in the Premier League tonight.
The Gunners have been in poor form lately with two defeats and one draw. They recently exited the Champions League after a 3-2 aggregate loss to Bayern Munich in the quarter-final.
Mikel Arteta will want a strong response at Molineux and will likely to make a few changes from the recent Munich trip.
Formation: 4-3-3
Predicted Line-up:
David Raya has been a constant presence in goal in the Premier League since his debut in September 2023. He will be eyeing his 13th clean sheet of the top-flight campaign against Wolves.
Ben White is expected to continue at right-back despite his heavy workload over the past few months. Takehiro Tomiyasu has only returned from an injury and manager Mikel Arteta is unlikely to start him for two games in quick succession.
William Saliba and Gabriel Magalhaes are nailed-on starters in the heart of the defence. Oleksandr Zinchenko is expected to get the nod at left-back after surprisingly sitting out the Bayern game.
The Ukrainian has not been in the best of form this season, but his creativity could be useful against an injury-plagued Wolves side.
Jorginho should drop to the bench, with Arteta likely to field a single defensive midfielder. Declan Rice will start in the number eight role, with Martin Odegaard forming the central midfield alongside Kai Havertz.
Gabriel Jesus could be backed to lead the line against a Wolves side which has failed to keep a clean sheet in seven games.
The Brazilian’s pace will be handy against the Midlands outfit. Bukayo Saka has looked pretty tired in recent weeks, but he is the club’s best option on the right wing.
Leandro Trossard is expected to start on the left flank, with Gabriel Martinelli dropping to the bench.
Martinelli had a wonderful scoring chance in the opening half at the Allianz Arena. Aside from this, the €80 million-rated star did not test goalkeeper Manuel Neuer.
Trossard could get another opportunity to stake his claim for a regular starting role with the Gunners.
