Shea Lacey signs first professional contract with Manchester United

Manchester United youngster Shea Lacey has signed his first professional contract with the club.

The 17-year-old has impressed at the Under-18 level and recently trained with the first team under manager Erik ten Hag.

Lacey has been garnering the attention of football fans with his mesmerising skills and performances.

Several clips of his skills have gone viral, attracting thousands of views. Plenty of United fans cannot wait to see him debut with the first team, seeing how he has performed at youth level.

With teenagers Kobbie Mainoo and Alejandro Garnacho already making a major impact this season, the pathway to the first team is clear under Ten Hag, and Lacey could be the next starlet to make the step up.

Lacey is a versatile attacker but primarily operates on the right wing, drawing comparisons to Lionel Messi and Manchester City’s Phil Foden in his early days.

His ability to play across the front line adds another dimension to his skill set. He can pick out teammates from anywhere across the pitch, his vision is excellent and he has the skills to beat his man to create openings.

Lacey is a top talent and will likely get his chance to shine soon. Garnacho and Mainoo have combined for 48 league appearances this season. Willy Kambwala recently made his first team debut amidst an injury crisis, showing that the manager trusts the academy.

Lacey’s return from a recent injury saw him join first-team training at Carrington. Now fit, he’s expected to play a crucial role as the U18s chase the league title and prepare for their cup final against Manchester City on April 23.

Fans will be watching closely to see if Shea Lacey can live up to the hype.
