Liverpool monitoring Palmeiras wonderkid Luis Guilherme

Liverpool have reportedly joined the chase for Palmeiras wonderkid Luis Guilherme, according to the Daily Mail.

The Reds have added their name to a growing list of clubs monitoring the 18-year-old Brazilian.

Guilherme has impressed for the Copa Libertadores champions, earning appearances in the prestigious South American competition and representing Brazil at Under-20 level.

His performances haven’t gone unnoticed, with the Reds reportedly among several elite European clubs tracking his progress.

Palmeiras have a strong track record of developing young talent. They nurtured Gabriel Jesus before his move to Manchester City and recently saw rising star Endrick secure a transfer to Real Madrid.

Nottingham Forest also benefited from their production line, acquiring Danilo last season.

Guilherme is the next exciting prospect to emerge from Palmeiras, and the club could demand a hefty fee exceeding £40 million for their prized asset.

He could be an exciting option to develop at Anfield. The youngster may find game time hard to come by, but the experience of training with the first team would help his progress.

With Mohamed Salah’s contract ending in 2025, he could be the player who takes the starting berth from the Egyptian when he leaves, with a move to Saudi Arabia on the cards.

Luis Diaz’s father has also suggested they are seeking a move to Spain, and the Reds will need a replacement for the Colombian.

Guilherme is an exciting prospect who would add flair and youth to the attacking line, but Liverpool must fend off interest from Europe’s top clubs to secure his services.
