Kick-off time of Manchester United vs Coventry City game changed amid public order concerns

The Football Association have reportedly changed the kick-off time for the FA Cup semi-final between Manchester United and Coventry City after it was deemed a ‘high-risk’ fixture.

The fixture will start at 3.30 pm on Sunday, April 21, with Manchester City versus Chelsea kicking off at 5.15 pm on the previous evening, according to the Daily Mail.

The FA initially requested a 4.00 pm kick-off for United’s game with Coventry but later agreed to start the fixture 30 minutes earlier after talks with the police.

The latest Man Utd news saw the team their place in the semi-final after a stunning 4-3 win over Liverpool last Sunday.

The Reds looked on the verge of success after Harvey Elliott put his side ahead in extra time at Old Trafford.

However, Marcus Rashford equalised before Amad Diallo popped up with the winner deep in extra time.

Erik ten Hag’s side lost 2-1 to Manchester City in last season’s FA Cup final at Wembley Stadium, with Ilkay Gundogan scoring a brace.

They now have a chance to reach another final, where City could be their opponent again.

Ten Hag has been under pressure this season but could save his job with success in the FA Cup.
