Arsenal’s Premier League title drought will end if they win three tough fixtures

Arsenal sealed an emphatic 6-0 victory against a dreadful Sheffield United side in the Premier League at Bramall Lane last weekend.

The Gunners were five goals ahead by the break, courtesy of goals by Martin Odegaard, Gabriel Martinelli, Kai Havertz and Declan Rice

Ben White got his name on the scoresheet in the second half as the visitors cruised to a seventh successive league win.

But despite their excellent winning run, Mikel Arteta’s side remain two points behind leaders Liverpool in the league standings.

Three games will determine Arsenal’s title fate

Arsenal ran out of steam last season as they missed out on the league title to Manchester City.

But they have hit peak form at the perfect time this term as they strive to end their title drought.

Mikel Arteta’s side face three crucial Arsenal fixtures on the run-in, and winning all three of them will almost guarantee their league success.

They face Manchester City at the Etihad Stadium later this month.

The Gunners beat City 1-0 in the reverse fixture in October, but Pep Guardiola’s side are currently in excellent form.

Coming away from Manchester with either a draw or a win will be challenging, but the Gunners are capable of achieving the feat.

Another tricky fixture sees the Gunners take on bitter rivals Tottenham Hotspur in an away game in April.

The two sides played out a 2-2 draw the last time they met in the Premier League, and another exciting contest is expected at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.

Arsenal also have to face Manchester United at Old Trafford before the end of the season.

Erik ten Hag’s side have been highly inconsistent this season but could upset Arsenal’s title bid.
