Arsenal boss Arteta wins Premier League MOTM award for February 2024

Mikel Arteta has claimed the Premier League Manager of the Month award for February 2024, pipping Pep Guardiola and Erik ten Hag to the coveted prize.

The Arsenal boss has won the award for the seventh time, entering the top ten list for most Barclays Manager awards. Only seven managers have won the award more times than the Spaniard.

Arteta’s Arsenal fired on all cylinders throughout February as they continued their fantastic start to 2024.

They netted 3+ goals across all games during the month, hitting the back of the net 18 times while conceding only twice.

They started February with a terrific 3-1 win over Liverpool to reinsert themselves in the Premier League title race as the Reds threatened to race clear at the summit.

They reaffirmed their title credentials with a stunning 6-0 demolition of West Ham United before handing Burnley a 5-0 pummelling.

The Gunners ended the month with a 4-1 win over Newcastle United, avenging the 1-0 loss against the Magpies earlier in the season.

Arsenal are the most in-form team in the league and will be looking to climb to the top of the table if the game between Manchester City and Liverpool ends favourably.

Liverpool are one point ahead of Man City heading into the weekend. If they draw and Arsenal win, the London club will be top of the standings.

However, Arsenal will have to overcome a stubborn Brentford side fighting to avoid getting sucked into the relegation battle.

The Bees will be buzzing after claiming a well-deserved point against Chelsea in their last match.
