Man Utd without seven players for Fulham game

Manchester United are set to be without seven players for Saturday’s Premier League clash against Fulham following an injury to Rasmus Hojlund.

The Red Devils have been in fantastic form in the league over the past few weeks, winning won four successive games. Hojlund has played a big part in each of those.

The Dane has netted seven goals in his last six top-flight outings, but he won’t be available for the next two to three weeks after sustaining a muscle injury at Luton Town.

His absence is definitely a big blow for the Red Devils, but he won’t be the only absentee tomorrow.

Luke Shaw also sustained a hamstring injury at Kenilworth Road last weekend and the Red Devils have already confirmed that he will be sidelined for a few months.

Aside from the duo, Mason Mount, Aaron Wan-Bissaka and Tyrell Malacia are still weeks away while Lisandro Martinez and Anthony Martial are out until April.

Despite missing seven players, United will start as favourites against Fulham at Old Trafford.

The Red Devils have had some close contests against the Cottagers, but they have come out on top in the end. Bruno Fernandes scored a stoppage-time winner during the reverse fixture.

Alejandro Garnacho did the same at Craven Cottage last term. United have a sensational record against Fulham with 15 wins and three draws from the last 18 meetings in all competitions.

A victory on Saturday could put United within two points off the top four if Aston Villa lose to Nottingham Forest.

However, the gap could be seven or eight points with a draw or defeat respectively for United if Villa win.

As Erik ten Hag recently said, ‘every game is now a final’. The club can’t afford any slip-ups if they want to qualify for the Champions League.
