Thomas Tuchel and Bayern Munich announced their decision to part ways at the end of this season after three consecutive losses, but the German manager is not ready to take a break from football.
According to the Daily Mail, he is open to returning to the Premier League, and a couple of roles could be available for him this summer.
Tuchel, who will see out the season with Bayern Munich, could return to England this summer.
He managed Chelsea between 2021 and 2022, leading the Blues to a Champions League title, a Club World Cup and the UEFA Super Cup. They also reached the FA Cup final twice and the League Cup final once during his tenure.
With Tuchel’s reputation in England still intact after falling out with two of the biggest clubs in Germany, the Premier League might be the perfect landing spot for him.
Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp announced that he will leave the club at the end of this season, leaving a gaping hole in the Reds’ dugout.
Tuchel could be the man to fill that hole. Liverpool’s first choice is Bayer Leverkusen managerial phenom Xabi Alonso, but he is also wanted by Bayern to replace Tuchel.
Manchester United could part ways with Erik ten Hag after a poor campaign in charge of the Red Devils.
United’s new part-owners, INEOS, may let the Dutchman go amid serious restructuring plans, and Tuchel could be the man they turn to as they seek to return the club to past glory.
West Ham United are also reportedly interested in him, with David Moyes possibly leaving.
Brighton & Hove Albion’s Roberto De Zerbi is another manager with an uncertain future beyond this summer, leaving another potential job for Tuchel.
Outside the Premier League, Tuchel is reportedly on Barcelona’s shortlist of managers.
It remains to be seen where he will end up, but Tuchel certainly has a few options that might suit his vision.
