Al-Ittihad ready to make £200m bid for Liverpool’s Mohamed Salah

Al-Ittihad are prepared to submit a £200 million bid for Liverpool star Mohamed Salah, per the Telegraph.

However, the Premier League giants reportedly have no intention of parting with the forward.

The Saudi outfit previously submitted a £150m offer for the 31-year-old last Friday which was rejected by the Reds.

The Tigers now fear they are running out of time to sign their top target before Thursday’s transfer deadline.

Al-Ittihad have already completed moves for Karim Benzema, N’Golo Kante, Jota and Fabinho.

Salah has been one of the most important players for Liverpool since he arrived on Merseyside in 2017.

He has averaged over 20 Premier League goals per season for Jurgen Klopp’s side.

Salah netted 30 goals in 51 appearances in all competitions last term.

The Egypt international has also made a solid start to the new campaign, scoring twice in four league outings.

The Saudis are ready to spend a prodigious fee to sign Salah, but they are unlikely to wrap up a deal this summer.

Liverpool cannot sign a replacement with the European transfer window closed and will not sanction a deal for Salah.

However, the Saudi Pro League club could return with another bid next summer when the player will have a year left on his contract.
