Sergio Ramos agrees sensational return to Sevilla

Free agent Sergio Ramos will have a new club soon after reaching an agreement over a return to Sevilla, claims Italian journalist Fabrizio Romano.

The Spaniard has been without a club since leaving Paris Saint-Germain in the summer after two years in the French capital.

Ramos’ future has been subject to much speculation in recent weeks after receiving offers from Turkish clubs and Saudi Pro League giants Al-Ittihad.

Al-Ittihad appeared to be in pole position to land the Spanish legend after reportedly planning for his medical tests with the hopes of securing a deal.

However, Sevilla joined the race at the last moment and managed to convince Ramos with their offer.

The Andalusian outfit had an opportunity to sign the 37-year-old earlier in the summer transfer window, but they declined it, considering their financial troubles.

They are now signing the legendary centre-back to improve the results, having endured a worst start to the season.

Rising through the youth ranks of Sevilla, Ramos spent a season with the club’s first team before moving on to Real Madrid, where he established his status as one of the greatest defenders of all time.

Ramos is still a great signing for Los Nervionenses despite being in the final years of his career, as he will bring a wealth of experience to the table.

The four-time Champions League winner will help Sevilla raise their levels in the tournament this season.

The reigning Europa League champions have had a horrendous start to the new season, losing all three games in La Liga.
