Jude Bellingham scores stoppage-time winner for Real Madrid against Getafe

Jude Bellingham continues to shine for Real Madrid as he scored a stoppage-time goal to lead his side to a 2-1 win over Getafe today.

José Bordalás’ men took a shocking lead on 11 minutes when Borja Mayoral latched onto a misplaced pass before taking it past the goalkeeper and slotting home.

Bellingham looked to have won his side a penalty midway through the first half when Carles Aleñá brought him down inside the box. However, the referee reversed his original decision after a VAR review.

Madrid would have levelled the scores before the interval if not for two brilliant saves from David Soria.

However, the visitors couldn’t maintain their lead for long after the restart as Joselu smashed home from close range in the 47th minute.

Carlo Ancelotti’s side kept up the pressure in search of a winner but were twice denied by the woodwork.

The match was heading for a draw before Bellingham popped up with a stoppage-time goal for the Spanish giants.

Soria, who had made several incredible saves in the match, spilt Lucas Vazquez’s effort to the England ace, who easily tapped it home.

Madrid’s latest 2-1 success means they have won all four La Liga games this season to be at the top of the standings.

Bellingham has made a spectacular start to life in Madrid after moving to Spain from Borussia Dortmund this summer.

The 20-year-old scored on his debut against Athletic Club before bagging a brace at Almeria

He also netted the decisive goal in Los Blancos’ 1-0 win over Celta Vigo last week
