Southampton block Che Adams loan move to Wolves

Southampton have blocked Che Adams’ loan move to Wolverhampton Wanderers, per The Athletic’s David Ornstein

Bournemouth were also interested in the Scotland international, while Everton and Crystal Palace were also linked

However, it appears he is not going anywhere with the Saints determined to keep him at St Mary’s.

Adams joined Southampton in 2019 after impressing at Birmingham City.

He made a slow start to life at the club but soon established himself as an important member of the team.

The striker has made 149 appearances in all competitions for Southampton, bagging 34 goals and 15 assists.

He netted five goals in 28 Premier League matches last term but couldn’t prevent Southampton from dropping out of the top flight.

Southampton have already lost some of their best talents in the 2023 transfer window

Tino Livramento moved to Newcastle United, while James Ward-Prowse and Romeo Lavia joined West Ham United and Chelsea

Nathan Tella also completed the transfer to Bundesliga outfit Bayer Leverkusen last month.

The Saints don’t want to part with Adams, who has made a flying start to the new campaign.
