Bournemouth have reached an agreement to sign Colombian forward Luis Sinisterra on loan from Leeds United, according to Fabrizio Romano.
The deal is currently in the final stages of negotiation between the two clubs, and the 24-year-old is eager to make the move.
Sinisterra’s final days with Leeds were marked by controversy, as he declined to be included in the squad for two games earlier in the transfer window.
His refusal was rooted in a mistaken belief that his contract contained a relegation release clause.
The talented forward’s desire for a fresh start away from Elland Road will be realised as he returns to the Premier League with the Cherries.
Sinisterra showcased his attacking prowess last season, netting five goals in 19 Premier League appearances and seven across all competitions.
Known for his mesmerising dribbling skills, he has the potential to light up any game when he is in top form.
During the current Championship season, Sinisterra has made two appearances for Leeds, scoring once.
While Leeds would undoubtedly have wanted to retain his services, the player’s desire to leave left them with no choice but to accept his exit.
This transfer represents a significant boost for Bournemouth, as they aim to strengthen their squad and remain in the Premier League.
Sinisterra will become the Cherries’ ninth summer signing following the addition of Ionut Radu, Justin Kluivert, Milos Kerkez, Hamed Junior Traore, Alex Scott, Tyler Adams, Romain Faivre and Max Aarons.
Bournemouth will hope that the new signings can spur them on after taking only one point from their first three games.
