Al-Ittihad ready €150m bid for Liverpool attacker Mohamed Salah

Saudi Pro League champions Al-Ittihad are set to make a jaw-dropping €150 million offer for Liverpool attacker Mohamed Salah, according to CBS Sports

They want to test Liverpool’s resolve with a massive bid before the close of the European transfer window this Friday.

The 31-year-old Egyptian star has become Al-Ittihad’s top target as they strive to bolster their squad.

This colossal bid would smash the Saudi Pro League transfer record set just weeks ago with Al-Hilal’s €90m acquisition of Neymar.

Undeterred by Liverpool’s declaration that Salah is not for sale, Al-Ittihad remain resolute in their pursuit.

Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp recently stated that Salah is essential for them, reinforcing their commitment to retaining their talismanic forward.

However, Al-Ittihad are banking on Salah being tempted by the allure of a compensation package worth around €200m per year with endorsements and bonuses.

This financial pitch is intended to sway Salah toward a move to Saudi Arabia.

Al-Ittihad’s urgency to sign Salah is because of their aspirations in the upcoming Club World Cup

Jeddah, the home city of Al Ittihad in Saudi Arabia, is hosting the tournament in December. They want to put their name on the global football map with a win at the showpiece event.

Al-Ittihad also want to bolster their defensive line with the potential addition of former Real Madrid and Spain legend Sergio Ramos.

Their attempts to secure Gabriel Magalhaes and Raphael Varane have hit roadblocks.

Al-Ittihad’s audacious moves in the transfer market showcase their unyielding commitment to turning heads.
